Brewster, Cape Cod Newest Restaurant

Image
Brewster Cape Cod's newest restaurant is Stone L'Oven. A classic thin crust pizza place with some other tasty looking selections. I kept it pretty basic with a pepperoni pizza but have to say it was delicious. A very nice addition to a town with a huge summer rental and second home population with little local restaurants. Ocean Edge Resort isn't just around the corner and should draw a lot of business from there and the locals will love it here. A very nice bar with a flat screen tv for sports and some high tops with a booth on one side. All in all a great new addition to Brewster Cape Cod. Stop by and check it out.

The Cape Cod Mini Golf Adventure!

The absolute one thing I can remember from spreading my summers on the Cape is mini golfing!  Use to drive my parents nuts but I loved it. Now as a Dad my almost 5 year old and I love to play. I have decided to journal as many cape cod mini golf courses there are! We have been to Pirates Golf, Skull Island, Animal Golf in Yarmouth and Cape Escape in Orleans so far. I have to say pirates golf and the skull are my favorites. The greens are challenging, lots to look at and the greens run fairly true.

Pain D'Avignon in Hyannis Cape Cod

Image
I had to visit a friend of mine who works at Cape Cod Airport in Hyannis the other day.  There has been a restaurant I have been wanting to try for a while. Actually I really want to do dinner here but since I heard some really good reviews, lunch would do the trick and give me a chance to scope it out. I have to say  Croque Monsieur was deliscious.  Black forest ham & Gruyère baked on country bread served open-faced.  It was just the right blends of flavors to make me wanting more. On my way out I made sure to grab an apple turnover and loaf of bread. The bread and turnover had a nice fresh crispy taste and just reminded me about how good lunch was.  I would recommend Pain D'Avignon in Hyannis Cape Cod. Great spot for a quick bite or a sophisticated cup of expresso and a scone!

Cape Cod Pizza Spot!

Image
Cape Cod has some delicious pizza spots and I'm sure you'll see plenty of pizza reviews from me on Cape Cod Pizza spots but this is one of my favorites. Pizza Barbone is located on Main Street Hyannis, Cape Cod. It is a smaller, cozier atmosphere but very charming and comfy. The menu is on the smaller side but what they do offer is delicious. All fresh ingredients and they even have gluten free crust if you like. The arrancini app is a rice ball with mozzarella and other spices serves with marinara sauce. It is to die for and a must order if you eat here! My wife ordered a nice fresh salad that was good. I had the Sopresato pizza (pepperoni). As always it was mouth watering. I washed it all down with a couple of cape cod blondes. Cape Cod Beer is fantastic by the way and you definitely need to try some if you get the chance. If you are ever in the Hyannis, Cape Cod area check out this fantastic pizza joint with a stone fired pizza oven. Main Street Hyannis Cape Cod.

Cape Cod Breakfast in #Dennis!

Image
As you will start to see I am huge fan of breakfast and just eating in general! I have a bunch of local spots spread throughout Cape Cod that I like to visit depending on where I am showing property or checking out some new areas. Grumpys in Dennis Cape Cod is one of my staples and a very consistent fabulous meal. They also make their own corn beef hash and have awesome muffins! The summer time  at Grumpys there is a line out the door so I tend not to visit as much in the summer or try to squeeze in at the booth, but the off season is not that busy and easy to get in and out. It also helps that it is only 5 minutes from my Yarmouth Port Real Estate Office! If you are ever in Dennis, Cape Cod looking for a wholesome, yummy breakfast check out Grumpys! http://www.grumpyscapecod.com

Cape Cod Mall and some Food!

The weather was freezing the other day and wanted to get the kids out of the house so we went to the Cape Cod Mall to do some shopping and entertain the kiddos without freezing our butts off! The mall has a great carousel by the food court the kids love and some other ride on machines on the other end they enjoy. They have a great Barnes and Nobles kids section they can explore, read and play. After that we were rather famished so visited Not Your Average Joes located at the Mall. I had a nice Ahi Tuna on Wonton App and Pizza for Lunch. My wife had a delicious salad with noodles and chicken. A fairly simple place to eat but the apps are good, nice beers on tap and a wide variety of food selections. We have eaten here a number of times for convenience and have yet to be disappointed. If you are bored and it is freezing out the Mall is not the worst place to go. Stay warm!

Cape Cod Romantic Dinner Spot, Osterville.

As a father of 2 little girls it is hard to get solid 1 on 1 time with my beautiful wife. There is always something to do, laundry, meals, tubs you name it the kids keep us busy. However, every once in a while we are able to get away to have a nice dinner and a drink. This past weekend I chose one of my absolute favorite romantic dinner spots, Five Bays Bistro in #osterville #capecod. The food their is absolutely divine and have never had a bad anything there. We arrived a little early but our table was ready to go so we sat. The hostess took our jackets for us which was nice. The waitress was very good and was constantly checking on us. Five Bays is on the smaller side so can get a bit on the louder side but getting there a bit earlier it was quite for a little until the restaurant filled up. It was still a pleasant and vibrant atmosphere. We shared a bottle of Prosecco and Crab Cakes for an App. They were melt in  your mouth delicious! I had the Rid-Eye which was rare and cooked...

Cape Cod Breakfast at an Airport?

Image
This morning I had an hour to kill between appointments and I had a showing at my newest listing at 251 Joshua Jethro in #chatham. Very close by is one of my absolute favorite breakfast spots, Hangar B! I stopped in for a quick bite and am never disappointed. Located at the Chatham Airport is this cute little breakfast spot. The winter months are not that busy but prepare for a wait in the summer as there is not alot of seating. All the food is super fresh and delicious. I always get the red flannel hash which is to die for. The best I have ever tasted.  Also, they have fresh squeezed oj and fresh, deluxe coffee. The sour dough bread is crispy, homemade and they give you jams to spread. I left with a to-go donut that is so fresh and scrumptious. Do yourself a favor and next time you are in #chatham on #capecod check out this amazing breakfast spot.

Cape Cod Lunch in Chatham!

Today I was previewing a Cape Cod house for sale in Chatham for client. It has great rental potential and in very good condition. 166 Barcliff, Chatham Ma.  I was on my way back to my office and was a bit hungry(shocker, I love to eat!) and stopped by one of my favorite breakfast spots Hagar B at the Chatham Airport. However, they were closed and had to hit the road. After quickly checking on my new listing at 251 Joshua Jethro, Chatham for $599k I drove by the Corner Store on the corner of 137 and Old Queen Anne Road. I have heard they have very good burritos so thought i'd check it out. I had a steak and bean burrito with other fixings and some chips. I have to say the meat was fresh and the burrito was very good. They also had panninis and other sandwiches that sounded good as well. So if you are in the area and have a hankering for a burrito stop in and give it a try.  http://www.freshfastfun.com  is their website. Have a great day.

Cape Cod Day with the Kiddos

So I had both kiddos on Monday and the weather was a bit chilly. I have never been to the Cape Cod Childrens Musuem in Mashpee but a couple other friends were going and thought it would be nice to get out of the house. It was an $8 entry but definitely worth it. The museum is on the smaller side, only 1 big room. However, the kids had a blast. There were a lot of different areas for the kids to play and learn. An arts and crafts table, train to climb on, submarine to play inside, a pirate ship, mini stores and more. I will definitely be back. After that we stopped at Mashpee Commons and ate a Panera. The mac and cheese for the kids and soup and a sandwich for me. It was a perfect morning and back in time for naps!  http://capecodchildrensmuseum.org  is the website for the Cape Cod Musuem.
